Rome. A Protestant delegation present at the Vespers at the end of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

Rome (NEV), January 26, 2018 – A delegation of Italian Protestantism was present yesterday afternoon at the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls in Rome, on the occasion of the closing of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, invited by cardinal Kurt Koch, president of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of Christian Unity.
The Second Vespers, presided over by Pope Francis, saw the participation, among others, of the vice president of the Federation of Protestant Churches in Italy (FCEI), Mrs Christiane Groeben;  the president of the Methodist Churches’ Work Organization in Italy (OPCEMI), pastor Mirella Manocchio, representing also the Waldensian church; the director of the Rome Methodist Ecumenical Office, pastor Tim Macquiban. Also attending representatives of the Salvation Army and Professor Tobias Künzlen, director of the Melanchthon Ecumenical Center.
