From September 16, the Sunday broadcast of Radio1 RAI, produced in agreement with the Federation of Protestant Churches in Italy, will leave the current time position of 9.05 to go on air at 6.35 am

Rome (NEV), September 14, 2018 – The Evangelical Worship Service is changing time again. From Sunday, September 16, with the new schedule, the Sunday broadcast of RAI Radio1, produced in agreement with the Federation of Protestant Churches in Italy (FCEI), will leave the current time position of 9.05 to go on air at 6.35 am.
“This is the third time variation that the program undergoes since last January, a fact that has created and will certainly create disorientation among our listeners”, the FCEI president, Pastor Luca Maria Negro, commented about the transition to 6.35: “We would have preferred to return to our traditional timetable at 7.30, the one we maintained for decades. However, the request was not accepted”.
The new schedule defined under the direction of Roberto Pippan, dismantles after a few months the long Sunday marathon of the religious columns of Radio1, conceived by the previous director Gerardo Greco, which started with the Evangelical Worship Service at 9.05 am to end with the Angelus in Piazza San Pietro at 12.15.
“The 6.35 represents a particularly ‘early morning’ timing, but it is nevertheless part of the morning prime time of Radio1 – said Pastor Luca Baratto, editor of  the program -. We hope that our faithful listeners may continue to follow us as they have always done in the past”.

The episodes of  the Evangelical Worship Service are available on the RaiPlayRadio website, at www.cultoevangelico.rai.it where it is possible to download the podcast of the programs already aired.
