Rome (NEV), March 30, 2019 – “Gender justice, rights for every woman, rights for everyone. The contribution of women in a society in search of orientation and hope”. This is the title of the public round table held in Rome on Friday March, 29 at the opening of the XII Congress of the Federation of Protestant Women in Italy (FDEI).
The meeting saw the participation of MEP Elly Schlein, pastor Letizia Tomassone and the president of the International Women’s House of Rome, Francesca Koch. Gianna Urizio chaired the event.
A theatre presentation  followed the round table. The recital, written and performed by Fiammetta Gullo, is dedicated to four female portraits on the themes of violence, emancipation and the desire of liberation.
The initiative was part of the XII FDEI Congress, held from 29-31 March in Rome with the title “As in heaven so on earth” (Matthew 6, 10). Delegates from all over Italy of several Protestant denominations gathered to discuss about justice and rights in society.
