FCEI  Fundraising. The funds collection for the COVID 19 emergency continues

Three priorities: purchase of primary goods and distribution of health devices, emergency interventions in camps of migrants at high risk of contagion, support for prevention measures. Negro: "A concrete help to those who are less visible, to the least who remain outside the circuits of solidarity"

Rome (NEV), April 18, 2020 – The president of the Federation of Protestant Churches in Italy (FCEI) pastor Luca Maria Negro re-launches the subscription opened by the FCEI, asking for financial support for an action that has three defined priorities.
“We ask for help – explains  pastor  Negro – to continue the first aid action of distributing health devices to rest homes, health centers, hospitals that still need them. At the same time, we intend to distribute food packages to individuals and families in serious difficulties and whom the public system is struggling to achieve.
With this in mind, we have already planned interventions in Sicily, with the House of Culture of Scicli which is within the framework of the FCEI program Mediterranean Hope,  in Calabria in the area of the Piana di Gioia Tauro where another Mediterranean Hope unit has been active for some months, and in the popular district of Giambellino, in Milan, in response to a call from the local association Laboratorio di Quartiere Giambellino-Lorenteggio,
A second line of intervention provides support for projects to dismantle the fields of immigrants engaged in seasonal agriculture. In agreement with the local authorities, we are working on a major relocation project in the Gioia Tauro area, thus eliminating unhealthy and high-risk places for public safety.
Finally, the third priority concerns pandemic monitoring programs and support for information and awareness-raising campaigns. Even if the data show an improving situation, in fact, we cannot ignore the risk of backlashes and return waves, and for this reason we feel the duty to also support those who carry out monitoring actions such as the Observatory of Democratic Medicine in Milan.
Thanking churches, foundations and individuals who will adhere to our appeal, we reiterate our commitment to concentrate the interventions in an action in favor of the weakest and most vulnerable subjects. Evangelically, we put the last ones first”, concluded Negro.

Payments to contribute to the subscription can be made by bank transfer to the Federation of Evangelical Churches in Italy, specifying for “Emergenza Corona virus”:
