COVID19.  ‘La Roma’ donates a thousand masks to the Salvation Army for the homeless

The solidarity gesture of La Roma Cares, the charitable foundation of the Capitoline football club, through the Third Sector Forum of Latium

Rome (NEV), May 16, 2020 – A thousand masks for homeless people helped by the Salvation Army (EDS), donated by La Roma Cares, the charitable foundation of the Roma football club, through the Lazio Third Sector Forum.
For Lieutenant Colonel Jacques Donzé, Head of the EDS Command in Italy and Greece since February 2020, “the spread of COVID-19 overturned the already fragile situation of many people. This is a great gesture of solidarity by the Giallorosso (Yellowred) club towards those of our fellow citizens in great difficulty, particularly affected by the social consequences of the ongoing health emergency and to whom we ensure material and spiritual support in our residences”.
Francesca Danese, spokeswoman for the Third Sector Forum of Latium, the body that associates    more than 30  voluntary and social cooperation networks in the region, said: “This gift from La Roma Cares shows its attention to the last ones and this initiative, that comes from the football world and from one of the most loved teams of the Capital, represents a further step in the weaving of community welfare”.
One of the guests of the EDS reception facilities, a fan of La Roma, wrote a letter on behalf of all the other 300 world of assisted people, expressing his thanks to the club.
